Defensive security, practised hands-on
I'm a Cybersecurity Analyst focused on SOC Operations, Threat Detection, and Incident Response. I have hands-on experience with Wazuh, Splunk, and ELK Stack, investigating security events across Windows and Linux environments.
My background also includes web application security, digital forensics, and threat research, with 150+ PortSwigger labs and practical experience building security monitoring and detection workflows.
I’m also working on Machine Learning for Cybersecurity, with research focused on PDF malware detection and forensic analysis. Alongside technical work, I lead Access~Denied at MUET and participate in cybersecurity competitions and CTFs.
Core focus areas
- SIEM monitoring and alert triage
- Detection rule development
- Incident response and reporting
- Threat hunting and IOC analysis
- Digital forensics and malware analysis
- Web application security testing
- Machine learning for malware detection
Security operations, measured
Figures taken directly from the roles and labs described below.
Where I've worked
SOC monitoring, threat analysis, vulnerability assessment and incident reporting — with the figures each role produced.
Projects
Security tooling, detection labs and forensics work. Each one starts from a problem I hit in practice.
Machine learning for malware detection
My final-year project, and the direction I want to keep working in: detection that an analyst can interrogate, not just trust.
Security findings
Vulnerabilities identified during web application testing, bug bounty work and independent research — all responsibly disclosed.
Skills matrix
Grouped by how the work is actually done, rather than as one long list.
Competitions and awards
CTF results, bug bounty recognition, structured lab work and speaking engagements.
Certifications and training
Certifications, structured training and hands-on lab programmes completed to date.
Academic background
What I'm building next
Areas I'm actively studying to deepen detection and response capability.
Running events, not just attending them
Student-led security competitions, university events and volunteer work.
Let's build something secure.
